He didn’t want his wife involved in this messy business between those two, it was filthy and unnecessary. 

Gu Jianshe was digging his own grave, and the old man would only grow colder toward him. 

Xu Bilian was no better, with even her family abandoning her, and it was only He Jihong who still cared.

“Understood.”

Chu Qiao nodded, brewed tea for Yan Su, and went to prepare lunch.
